STARTER:
1 grated med potato or 1 grated med onion
1 c sugar
3 c water
3 c flour
Combine and stand in a gallon jar or crock. Lightly cover with a cloth for 3 days. After a cup of starter is taken out to make biscuits, add 1 c water, 1/4 c flour, and 1 tbsp sugar to increase supply.
BISCUITS:
1 c starter
1/4 c melted butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 c flour
Mix all ingredients. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut and place on greased sheet. Bake in 425 degree oven for 20 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.
