Crock-pots, one of man's greatest inventions! Cook while you're at work and don't heat up the house on those hot summer days!
5 or 6 green peppers
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg
1 large can of tomato sauce
1 cup of instant rice
salt and pepper to taste
Cut each pepper in half. Remove core and seeds.
Combine beef, onion, egg, 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce and rice in a bowl. Mix well. Fill each pepper half with the mixture. Place peppers right side up in crock-pot, pour remaining tomato sauce over the peppers. Cover pot and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
Makes 5 to 6 servings.
